Bruno of Cologne
Bruno of Cologne [Bruno Coloniensis] (c. 1030 - 6 October 1101), was a German monk and the founder of the Carthusian Order, who personally founded the Orders first two communities. He was a celebrated professor of dogmatics at the University of Rheims (in modern France) and a close advisor to Pope Urban II of Rome, his former student.
